Alexander the Great
Alexander the Great has done many positive things and many negative in his life span. One of the positive things he did was spread the Greek language and culture. Greek was made the official language and was used in other cultures and businesses. He also created the Library of Alexandria. Today libraries are an important part of learning and working and Alexander the Great had a large impact on that. Lastly, he defeated the mighty Persians. One of the negative or not so great things he did are that he committed several violent actions and destruction as a military leader, including destroying the ancient city of Persepolis and knocking down prominent statues and religious figures. Alexander the Great also had a very erratic temper, he would kill off his men without a valid reason and would do other things that were very uncalled for. I believe that Alexander the Great was a hero. My reasoning for this is that he did many things that impacted the Greeks and our world today . For example, when he defeated the Persians, it gave the Greeks a sense of victory and freedom. The Library of Alexandria impacted the way we learn today.
Alexander's Three Wishes (top three on image)
My last three wishes would be this:
1.) Only people I have trust in will carry my coffin and bury me, not necessarily a doctor or professional.
2.) All of my savings will be given to my family, nobody but them.
3.) When I die, I don't want to be remembered for who I was, but for what I did to be remembered (my legacy).

Alexander the Great's Impact
Alexander the Great impacted these ares by having them adapt to the Hellenistic culture and stop practicing their own. This impacted western civilization because the new cities started to practice this culture. The reasoning for why they began to practice this culture is that it spread throughout civilization and eventually reached newer areas. Alexander the Great spread the Greek language and it became so successful more and more ares began to speak it, it became a part of business. Also, he spread forms of Hellenistic and Greek art. Lastly, information from this culture that may not have been exposed to areas was spread.
